With love from the white island

As I arrived, I was greeted with a luxurious yet laid-back vibe, unbeatable panoramic sea views and the famous sunset! I was excited for my stay at this hotel which opened in June 2022 and is home to island-inspired bedrooms and spacious suites to suit every budget. The hotel's best offerings for honeymooners include The Signature Level Junior Suites with infinity swim-up pools and the Deluxe Sea View Suites opening on to sun-soaked private terraces, one of which became my home-from-home for two nights. Other honeymoon-worthy options, The Signature Level Presidential Suite and the Rooftop Jacuzzi Terrace Junior Suite are jewels in the resort's crown and newlyweds looking to book time away with their four-legged friends can do so with the Pawradise Package at this pet-friendly resort!

FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD
Three à la carte restaurants command prime position at TRS Ibiza Hotel known for its cool culinary scene. At Helios, a delicious Mediterranean dinner menu with Asian touches can be enjoyed inside, or on the outdoor terrace overlooking one of the three swimming pools which transforms into an oh-so-romantic setting lit up at night.

I was impressed by the fashionable surroundings and fine dining offerings at El Gaucho where highlights on the menu include the finest cuts of grilled meat including wood-fired black Angus skirt steak served with spiced sweet potato puree and bimi plus a pork rib teamed with beet barbecue sauce and creamy celery dished up with impeccable service – the colourful cocktails at the bar are a must-try! Inspired by international cuisine, Capricho boasts market-style food stations offering delicious dishes made using some of the freshest and finest local ingredients for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Leafy salads, a wide selection of artisan bread and delicious desserts shouldn't be missed here!

Those wishing to enjoy their favourite tipple will be spoilt for choice at the many relaxed bars dotted around the resort, from the Aurum Lobby Bar, a great spot for coffee to the Ío Pool Bar where local wine and beers can be sampled along with burgers and hot dogs during the day. Signature Level guests can enjoy premium spirits and drinks and the new Ío food truck is a quirky addition! The sky's the limit at Gravity, the vibrant rooftop bar set around the infinity pool where honeymooners can enjoy a sundowner whilst listening to live music and soaking up the ocean views.

MEDITERRANEAN BEAUTY
Couples wanting a laid-back honeymoon focussing on wellness can enjoy the Zentropia Palladium Spa & Wellness for some pampering which is complimentary for 90 minutes per day for The Signature Level guests. I'm a big fan of a Turkish bath so I couldn't wait to try it, along with the sauna, jacuzzi, hydromassage jets, and indoor and outdoor pools flanked by Balinese beds – there's even a cold bath for those who are brave enough! I indulged in a massage from the extensive vegan treatment menu which boasts facials, manicures, pedicures, haircuts, make-up and more. Bookings can be made through the eButler for The Signature Level guests. Fitness lovers can visit the gym, or book an al fresco yoga class. Sun worshippers can enjoy a dip in the Gaia Pool framed by sun loungers and parasols and savour a cocktail from the poolside bar. The Signature Level guests can use the exclusive poolside lounge areas and all visitors can access the local beach through the gate at one end of the resort.
