Autumn is one of my favourite seasons – and for good reason! There’s something so refreshing about the end of summer, as the sweltering heat gives way to a more temperate climate. The air becomes crisp and invigorating, and I can’t help but get excited knowing that Christmas is just around the corner, bringing a sense of joy and festivity.
Fall offers a variety of seasonal themes and décor options for weddings! Choose a seasonal colour palette with deep hues like bur gundy, mustard yellow, burnt orange and forest green to reflect the fall foliage. Incorporate gold, copper or bronze for a touch of elegance and warmth.
For indoor celebrations, look for rustic barns, cosy lodges, or elegant ballrooms that can be decorated with seasonal elements. Use string lights, lanterns or candles to create a warm and inviting ambience as the sun sets. Use flowers in season, such as dahlias, chrysanthemums, sunflowers and roses in autumn colours. Incorporate seasonal foliage like eucalyptus, maple leaves or branches for a natural touch. The abundance of seasonal produce also allows for creative catering, with delicious options like pumpkin spice desserts and hearty comfort foods that reflect the season’s flavours. Create fall-inspired drinks, like spiced apple cider, pumpkin spice lattes or cocktails with cinnamon and nutmeg.
No need to worry if you’re organising your special day in a different season; this edition is brimming with diverse creative ideas and inspiration for weddings that can be beautifully tailored to any time of year. Whether you’re dreaming of a vibrant spring celebration filled with blooming flowers, a sun-soaked summer gathering outdoors, a cosy autumn affair or a magical winter wonderland complete with twinkling lights, we’ve got you covered. Our comprehensive issue offers tips, themes and unique touches to help you craft a memorable wedding experience, regardless of season.
So, pull up a chair, grab a cuppa and get reading!

Edworth Manor
Just one mile south of Biggleswade, Edworth Manor is a working farm that one family has run for more than 200 years. Nearlyweds can expect personal service and practical experience from the team, who will help guide pairs through the planning process.
Guests get a glimpse of farm life as they travel up the drive past grass meadows and tractors before reaching the venue. Couples often comment on how peaceful and tucked away the setting is. The meadow offers a perfect space for photos with a rural backdrop, with many often snapped underneath the trees or in front of the timber-clad barns.
The venue doesn’t have a ceremony license, but the 12th-century church is available for blessings with permission of the Churches Conservation Trust. Celebrant-led ceremonies occur in the 18th-century barn at Edworth Manor, a genuinely rustic space that’s one of the largest in the area with plenty of historic character. Guests are taken back by the oak timbers and attractive alcoves, which offer a fantastic canvas for couples to personalise as little or as much as they like. The barn is only available for a limited number of occasions during the summer months each year. Available for exclusive use only and on a dry-hire basis, lovebirds are given access well ahead of the day to style the space as they wish.
The recently restored Old Granary is connected to the main barn, perfect for private dining receptions for up to 25 people. The Old Granary is available for booking all year round and can also be used for celebrant-led ceremonies with 40 loved ones or as a place for bridal parties to get ready. Both barns are served by a connected area for use by the external caterer. Double doors open out of the timber-clad barn onto a mown grass meadow, which couples can style for welcome drinks, garden games and outdoor catering.
